Founder and owner, Todd Murphy has been servicing this industry for 37 years. The foundation of his career began at a local garden center where he worked for 13 years. In addition to learning the daily operations of a retail business, he began an education in Horticulture.

Being fascinated with the cultivation process, his desire to continue learning led him to Landscape Horticulture which includes the production, marketing and maintenance of landscape plants. This venture was the beginning of Murphy’s Nursery back in 1990 at his residence where he personally cultivated shrubs and trees and sold to the wholesale market.

As his passion continued to root deeper, he felt it was time to expand his knowledge into the Landscape Design and Installation sector. New employment afforded him 9 years experience in landscape design and installation and the ability to continue his passion growing trees and shrubs for the wholesale market.

With that strong foundation and years of experience on his side, Todd opened Murphy’s Nursery to the retail landscaping market in 2004.
